How much pain is involved with getting dentures?

When you install new dentures for the first time, it is normal to experienceslight stimulation, which should fade as your mouth gets used to them. The pain period varies. If you have worn dentures before, you now have a new set of dentures, which may take longer. Similarly, if you have some natural teeth that are pulled out during new dentures, the area where the toothis pulled out within a few weeks after extraction may feel pain or uncomfortable. It is recommended to go to the dentist regularly during normal healing to adjust the dentures.

 

Nine steps for conventional denture fabrication

1. Use a stock tray specially designed for toothless patients and alginate to make a preliminary impression. The outer periphery of the tray can be reinforced with wax.
