What are the steps to make a Full Acrylic Denture?
Take gum impressions: Your dentist will make impressions of your gums. If you need tooth extractions first, wait for the gums to heal before this step.
Set bite & choose teeth: A wax rim is placed in your mouth to fix a proper bite. You (with your dentist's help) pick the denture teeth's size, shape and color. The dentist then sends these details to the lab.
Try on the wax trial: The lab makes a wax-based trial denture (with plastic teeth). If you're happy with its fit, color and look, it goes back to the lab for final processing. Adjust if needed.
Get the final denture: The lab turns the trial into a full acrylic denture (hard, gum-colored acrylic). Your dentist fits it and adjusts for comfort/bite if required.
