Labs can easily trim, reline or repair cracked acrylic bases, greatly simplifying after-service work. Modern high-impact PMMA blocks used in digital milling show better anti-fracture performance than heat-cured traditional acrylics, reducing breakage risks. Its main limitation is slight water absorption and long-term staining from coffee or tobacco, requiring daily denture soaking and brushing.
