Silver diamine fluoride for kids’ caries

Silver diamine fluoride (SDF) is a non‑invasive anti‑caries material for children. Instead of drilling and filling cavities, clinicians paint liquid SDF onto decayed baby teeth. It stops caries progression quickly with almost no pain. It works well for young kids who cannot cooperate with conventional filling treatment. Note that SDF will turn carious spots black; it cannot replace regular filling for final tooth repair.
