Twin Block Appliances (TBAs) are fixed, removable, or hybrid orthodontic devices primarily used to correct skeletal Class II malocclusions (overjet/overbite) in growing patients (typically 8–14 years old). Structurally, TBAs consist of two interconnected "blocks": an upper component (attached to maxillary teeth) and a lower component (on mandibular teeth). This stimulates condylar growth and remodels the temporomandibular joint (TMJ).
