Feb 6, 2026 – The global prosthodontics sector is witnessing transformative growth, fueled by advanced digital applications, innovative flexible denture materials and optimized global market layout, according to the latest industry updates on Monday.

The Fédération Dentaire Internationale (FDI) released the February special issue of the International Dental Journal on the same day, featuring its 2025 policy statement that mandates denture restorations to align with ISO standards, including ISO 22112. The statement strengthens norms for digital denture design and electronic health record application, and promotes standardized clinical quality control for new restorations like flexible dentures, providing authoritative guidelines for global denture production and clinical practice. It also emphasizes balancing biocompatibility and aesthetics in denture care, encouraging the industry to adopt flexible materials such as Valplast to enhance patient comfort and restoration outcomes.

In capital news, Hillhouse Capital completed an increase in its stake in Modern Dental Group to approximately 17% on Feb 5. As a global leader in denture restorations with a product portfolio covering removable dentures and clear aligners, Modern Dental's boosted valuation reflects capital markets' long-term optimism in the denture industry, which is set to accelerate industrial chain integration and drive market penetration of innovative products like Valplast flexible dentures.

Meanwhile, the 37th Saudi International Dental Conference (SIDC) 2026 kicked off in Riyadh from Feb 5 to 7, gathering over 130 dental enterprises from more than 20 countries. Digital denture design systems and flexible denture materials emerged as key highlights, with Chinese companies showcasing intelligent digital denture solutions, boosting technological upgrading in the Middle East and deepening global industry collaboration.
