Wax bite (bite registration wax) records the patient's upper‑lower jaw occlusal relationship. Dentists heat and soften the wax sheet and guide the patient to bite. The bitten wax record is sent to the lab for articulator mounting. It is a single‑use product. Saliva contamination and permanent deformation after biting make reuse impossible. Damaged wax records will directly cause occlusal errors of finished prostheses.
