Why custom impression trays matter

Custom trays are individually made based on a patient's preliminary dental model, different from universal stock trays. They fit closely along the alveolar ridge and vestibule. During impression taking, pressure distributes evenly without deforming soft gum tissues. Accurate moulds capture fine gingival details, laying a solid foundation for well‑fitted dentures, crowns and bridges. Ill‑fitted stock trays often lead to distorted impressions and poorly fitting final restorations.
